Have you ever had a situation that you think you are going to die? I and Nicki have had this kind of situation before. After I read to page 147, Nicki's position is getting worse. A big van of those freedom fighters where Nicki was tied inside had an accident on the way to the city. She smashed into something metal and she was bleeding all over her leg as her body scratched with the road. Then, she was pulled by those jerks like people were snatching for something and she couldn't feel anything worse than this. A minute that she was carried out, "she thought she was going to die and not see her mother ever again."
After I spent almost a year in the US, I had faced with many difficulties and pressures that made me become a mature person, not only my thoughts but everything even my shoes' size. However, regardless of the first host family's medical problem, I had to move from Virginia to Oregon. It was the most confusing time in my life. As the time passed by to November, I started to get use to Oregon and its weather. I and my Thai friend were kind of interested to join a ski club with school. So, we became the worst skier that school ever had, I think. We've been and skied at Mount Hood for many times. Once my friend was sick and couldn't go along to Mount Hood with me, I had to go up there alone. It was about 3pm. that I arrived the ski resort. Many people were queuing to use the elevator and T-bar which it will take us to the top of Mt. Hood, then we have to ski down. So, I used a T-bar to go up there and you know? Suddenly, I fell down in the middle of the white trees. One side of my ski was sliding down to another small mountain. My ankle flipped over and I couldn't feel anything because it was too cold lying on a snow. I tried to muster up my strength and crawl out from those trees. Nobody still couldn't see me. "As a minute that I laid down on a snow, I thought I was going to die because where I fell was very hard to see." I closed my eyes and thought of my family, then I heard something, "hey wake up!" A teenager boy shouted at my face and he tried to phone the safety guard at the resort to take me to the ski clinic. However, I was safe and this experience was the one that I would remember till the rest of my life!
